Aivastark vs WATI

WATI and Aivastark both put an AI on WhatsApp, but they start from opposite ends. WATI is a WhatsApp marketing and team-inbox platform with an AI agent you can add; Aivastark is an AI agent that answers customers and hands off to your team. Which one fits depends on whether you mostly send messages or mostly answer them.

Aivastark or WATI: which should you choose?

Choose WATI if WhatsApp marketing is the job: broadcasts, template campaigns, COD confirmation and abandoned-cart messages for Shopify, and WhatsApp calling. Aivastark builds none of those. Choose Aivastark if the job is answering customers: its $39 Starter plan includes 5,000 AI credits and replies on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and Telegram, while WATI sells its knowledge-trained AI agent, Astra, as a separate product from $99 a month for 5,000 credits. Aivastark also doesn't resell WhatsApp message fees: Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business account.

In fairness

Where WATI is the better choice

Stated plainly, because a comparison that wins every row is an advert.

  • Broadcasts, template campaigns and automation triggers, which is most of what WhatsApp marketing needs. Aivastark doesn't send any of them.

  • Ready Shopify flows: COD confirmation, abandoned-cart reminders, delivery updates and WhatsApp Pay.

  • More channels in one inbox, including WhatsApp Business Calling and TikTok.

  • A large customer base: WATI says 16,000+ businesses in 190+ countries use it.

  • Lower plan prices for Pakistan and other East-tier countries ($49/month Growth).

01

Sending messages or answering them

Most WATI accounts exist to send: a sale broadcast, a COD confirmation, a back-in-stock template. WATI is built around that, with a team inbox for the replies and an AI agent you can add.

Aivastark is built around the replies. It answers from your website, files and catalogue on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and Telegram, and hands the chat to a person when the customer asks for one or the agent can't help. It sends no broadcasts or templates, so a store that lives on campaigns still needs a tool like WATI for that part.

02

What you pay for the AI

WATI prices its knowledge-trained AI agent, Astra, on its own page: Free with 100 credits (web widget only, English only), Pro at $99 a month for 5,000 credits on web and WhatsApp, and Business at $399 for 25,000, with extra credits at $20 per 1,000. That sits apart from the Growth, Pro and Business inbox plans.

Aivastark's plans include the AI: $39 Starter has 5,000 credits, $129 Growth 25,000 and $319 Scale 75,000, and a standard reply is one credit. Past the allowance a paid plan bills overage instead of switching the agent off.

AI allowance a monthAivastarkWATI Astra
5,000 credits$39 (Starter)$99 (Pro)
25,000 credits$129 (Growth)$399 (Business)

Credits aren't the same unit on both sides: on Aivastark a standard reply is 1 credit and a gpt-4o reply 10; WATI charges an Astra voice call at 5 credits a minute.

03

WhatsApp message fees

Meta has charged per message since July 2025, and its documentation says service messages, the replies inside the 24-hour window, are charged from 1 October 2026 at the utility rate. That applies to every tool here, Aivastark included.

The difference is who bills you. Aivastark connects your own WhatsApp Business account, so Meta invoices you directly at Meta's rates. WATI resells messages at its own rate card: on Growth and Pro a US marketing message is $0.0400 and a utility message $0.0061.

FAQ

Aivastark vs WATI: questions

What is the best WATI alternative for AI customer support?

If you mainly need an AI to answer customers on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and Telegram, Aivastark includes that in its $39 Starter plan with 5,000 credits. If you mainly send broadcasts and template campaigns, stay with WATI or a tool like it: Aivastark doesn't send those.

Is Aivastark cheaper than WATI?

For AI replies, yes: 5,000 credits cost $39 a month on Aivastark Starter and $99 on WATI's Astra Pro, which is priced apart from WATI's inbox plans (Growth from $69, or $49 in Pakistan). For broadcasts there's no comparison, because Aivastark doesn't send them.

Can Aivastark send WhatsApp broadcasts like WATI?

No. Aivastark doesn't send broadcasts, template campaigns, bulk messages or order-confirmation messages. It answers customers who message you, and can send up to three follow-up nudges inside Meta's 24-hour window (off by default, from Starter).

Does Aivastark add a fee to WhatsApp messages?

No. Aivastark connects your own WhatsApp Business account, so Meta bills its per-message fees to you directly. WATI resells messages at its own rate card, for example $0.0400 for a US marketing message on Growth and Pro.
