Does the AI intake agent give legal advice?
No. Aivastark is explicitly scoped to information-gathering and consultation booking. It declines to interpret statutes, estimate case value, recommend a course of action, or form an attorney-client relationship. This design supports compliance with ABA Model Rule 5.5 on the unauthorized practice of law (UPL). Every conversation includes a disclaimer that the agent is not legal counsel.
How does the conflict-check workflow work?
Before the agent books any consultation, it gathers the names of every party connected to the matter (visitor, adverse parties, employers, spouses where relevant) and runs them against your firm's client roster. If there's no conflict, the consult is booked and the attorney is notified. If a potential conflict is flagged, the matter is held and an attorney reviews before the consult is scheduled · so a conflict is never discovered for the first time at the meeting.
Is the intake conversation confidential and privileged?
Intake conversations are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. PII is redacted before any text reaches the LLM. However, privilege is a legal question that depends on intent, jurisdiction, and how your firm represents the agent. ABA Model Rule 1.18 covers prospective-client confidentiality; many firms treat intake disclosures as protected, and Aivastark is designed to support that posture. Consult your bar counsel for definitive guidance.
Does Aivastark integrate with Clio, MyCase, or PracticePanther?
Direct CRM integrations with Clio, MyCase, and PracticePanther are on the roadmap. Today, Aivastark captures qualified intake (matter type, party names, contact info, conflict-check status, preferred consult time) and pushes it to your practice management system via webhook. Most firms have it flowing into Clio or MyCase within an hour using Zapier or the webhook endpoint.
What practice areas does Aivastark support?
Any practice area whose intake workflow you can describe in plain English. Common deployments: personal injury (MVA, slip-and-fall, premises), family law (divorce, custody, support), criminal defense, immigration, estate planning, real estate, employment, workers' compensation, business and corporate. The agent learns from your practice-area pages, fee policy, and intake questionnaire · so it screens for the matters you actually want.
How does it handle emergency intake · DUI arrests, restraining orders, criminal calls?
Configurable. You can route any message matching emergency keywords ("arrested", "in jail", "restraining order", "DUI") to a dedicated on-call line, flag it for immediate attention, or surface reserved emergency consultation slots. The agent collects the essentials (location, charges, custody status) and passes them to the on-call attorney in seconds.
Does the agent work in Spanish and other languages?
Yes. The agent runs on GPT-4o-mini (gpt-4o on Enterprise), which handles dozens of languages natively. It detects the visitor's language from their first message and replies in it · including Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Russian, which are common client languages in U.S. firms. You can tune the tone per language in AI Settings.
Is this compliant with state bar advertising rules?
Aivastark gives you the controls needed to comply with state bar Rule 7-series advertising requirements: you set every word the agent says, every disclaimer it shows, and the persona's identity. The agent is positioned as your firm's intake assistant, not as a lawyer. Many states require disclaimers when AI is used to communicate with prospective clients · these can be added to the welcome message in seconds. As with any client-facing tool, your firm is responsible for compliance with your jurisdiction's rules; we recommend a bar-counsel review before publishing.
How does the agent handle sensitive personal information shared during intake?
Sensitive PII (Social Security numbers, account numbers, medical details beyond what's needed for matter screening) is detected and redacted before it reaches the LLM. The full conversation is logged for your records and is accessible only to authenticated firm members. On Enterprise, intake data can be auto-purged after 30 days and routed to the U.S. or EU region of your choice.
Will it really screen out non-cases · referral requests, sales calls, paralegal applications?
Yes. You configure rejection rules in plain English ("don't book consults for X", "refer requests for Y to the local bar"). The agent recognizes solicitations, vendor pitches, and out-of-scope matters, and either declines politely with a referral or routes them to your administrative inbox instead of an attorney's calendar.
How long does setup take for a law firm?
