Chatbase's $40 plan includes 700 replies; Aivastark's $39 plan includes 5,000. Both are AI agents that answer from your own content, and both now answer on your website, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and email. The real differences are how many replies your money buys, what happens when you run out, and how much model choice you get. ## Aivastark or Chatbase: which should you choose? Choose Chatbase if you want to pick your own model (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini and others), need phone voice, or want its deep Stripe and Shopify actions, and your volume is modest. Choose Aivastark if volume is what you're paying for. Aivastark's $39 Starter plan includes 5,000 AI replies against 700 on Chatbase's $40 Hobby plan, and overage is $1.20–$4.00 per 1,000 replies instead of $40. The free plan is permanent and needs no card. **Choose Chatbase if:** - You want to choose the AI model: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini and more - You need phone voice, from its $150 plan - You want ready-made Stripe, Shopify and Calendly actions **Choose Aivastark if:** - Volume is what you pay for: 5,000 replies for $39, not 700 - You want overage at $1.20–$4.00 per 1,000 replies, not $40 - You want Telegram too, in the same inbox as every other channel ## In four figures - **5,000 vs 700**: AI replies on the $39 and $40 plans - **$1.20–$4 vs $40**: per 1,000 replies past your allowance - **300 vs 50**: replies a month on the free plan - **80+ vs 95+**: languages: Chatbase covers more ## Side by side | | Aivastark | Chatbase | |---|---|---| | Pricing unit | Credits: 1 per standard reply; gpt-4o, images, voice and tool steps cost more | AI replies ("message credits"); actions and some models cost more per reply | | Entry price | $0 free forever (300 replies), then $12/month (1,000) | $0 free (50 replies), then $40/month Hobby (700) | | Around $40/month | $39 Starter: 5,000 replies | $40 Hobby: 700 replies | | Around $130–$150/month | $129 Growth: 25,000 replies | $150 Standard: 4,000 replies | | When you run out | On paid plans, published overage of $1.20–$4.00 per 1,000; the agent keeps answering | The agent stops answering unless auto-recharge is on: $40 per 1,000 credits | | Model choice | Aivastark picks the model for standard replies; from Starter you can switch a project to gpt-4o, which also reads images | Choice of OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral and others on paid plans | | Channels | Widget on every plan; WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram and email from $39 | Widget on every plan; WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Slack and email from $40; voice/phone from $150 | | Removing vendor branding | "Powered by" badge can be hidden on Scale ($319); custom white-label arrangements on Enterprise, on request | $99/month add-on on any paid plan; white-labelling on Enterprise | | Languages | 80+ | 95+ | Chatbase figures checked October 2026. Aivastark allowances are counted in credits: a standard reply is 1 credit and a gpt-4o reply 10; images, voice and tool steps add more. ## Where Chatbase is the better choice Stated plainly, because a comparison that wins every row is an advert: - Model choice: you can run the agent on OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral and others. Aivastark picks the standard model, with gpt-4o as the one alternative from Starter. - Built-in voice and telephony from the Standard plan. Aivastark has no phone line. - A deep catalogue of ready-made actions (Stripe, Shopify cart/orders/returns, Calendly, Cal.com, Salesforce, WhatsApp Catalog) and many helpdesk connectors. - A larger, established install base ("10,000+ businesses", per its pricing page). - Cheaper badge removal at low volume: Chatbase sells it as a $99/month add-on on any paid plan (Hobby plus the add-on is $139/month), where Aivastark hides its badge only on Scale ($319/month). - More languages: 95+ against Aivastark's 80+. ## The number that decides it: replies per dollar Both products bill per AI reply, so you can compare them directly. At about $40 a month, Chatbase Hobby includes 700 replies and Aivastark Starter includes 5,000. At about $130–$150, Chatbase Standard includes 4,000 and Aivastark Growth includes 25,000. Running out is where the gap is widest. When Chatbase credits run out, the agent stops answering unless auto-recharge is on, at $40 per 1,000 credits. Aivastark bills $1.20–$4.00 per 1,000 past your allowance, and never switches the agent off on a paid plan. The fair caveat: Aivastark's allowance is counted in standard replies (a gpt-4o reply costs 10 credits). Chatbase lets you choose stronger models, which also cost more credits per reply. If you need a specific frontier model, Chatbase gives you that choice. ## Branding: be precise about what you're buying On both products, the agent carries your name, colours and persona. The small vendor mark is the difference. Chatbase removes "Powered by Chatbase" for $99 a month on top of any paid plan. Aivastark lets you switch its badge off on Scale ($319/month). Chatbase sells white-labelling on Enterprise; Aivastark offers custom white-label arrangements on Enterprise, on request. If all you need is to lose the badge at low volume, Chatbase is the cheaper route: Hobby plus the add-on is $139 a month. At Scale volume (75,000 replies) Aivastark's badge switch comes included. ## Channels are closer than they used to be Chatbase now answers on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger from its $40 plan, and on email too, so channel count alone doesn't separate the two. Aivastark adds Telegram, which Chatbase doesn't list, routes every channel into one inbox, and, with handoff switched on (Solo and up), passes the full thread to a person when the customer asks or isn't helped. Chatbase's shared inbox (its Helpdesk) and phone voice both start on its $150 Standard plan; Aivastark has no phone line. ## Questions ### Is Aivastark cheaper than Chatbase? Per reply, yes, by a wide margin at every tier: $39 buys 5,000 replies on Aivastark against 700 for $40 on Chatbase, and overage is $1.20–$4.00 per 1,000 against $40. Chatbase can be cheaper if all you need is to remove the badge at low volume: Hobby plus its $99/month add-on is $139 a month, while Aivastark hides its badge only on Scale ($319/month). ### Does Chatbase support WhatsApp and Instagram? Yes. WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger are included from the Hobby plan. Aivastark includes them from Starter, and adds Telegram, which Chatbase doesn't list. ### What happens when you run out of replies? On Chatbase, the agent stops answering until credits are added, unless auto-recharge is on at $40 per 1,000 credits. On an Aivastark paid plan the agent keeps answering and the extra replies are billed at $1.20–$4.00 per 1,000, depending on the plan. Aivastark's free plan stops at its 300 replies. ### Can I move my Chatbase knowledge base to Aivastark? Yes. Point Aivastark at the same website URLs, or upload the same files. Conversation history doesn't transfer, so export it from Chatbase first if you need it. ### Which one is better for agencies? It depends on volume. Aivastark lets one account run 2, 5 or 15 client sites (Starter, Growth, Scale) on a flat price. Every Chatbase plan includes one agent, and each extra agent is $25 a month. Neither offers white-labelling below Enterprise. ## Sources Chatbase figures above were checked in October 2026 (2026-10-07) against Chatbase's own pages: - [Chatbase pricing (plans, credits, add-ons, channels)](https://www.chatbase.co/pricing) - [Chatbase Enterprise (white-labelling)](https://www.chatbase.co/enterprise) - [Chatbase FAQ (95+ languages, credits running out)](https://chatbase.co/docs/faq/faq.md) - [Chatbase workspace settings (add-ons on paid plans)](https://chatbase.co/docs/user-guides/workspace/settings.md) ## Related - [Aivastark vs Intercom Fin](https://www.aivastark.com/compare/aivastark-vs-intercom-fin) - [Aivastark vs Tidio](https://www.aivastark.com/compare/aivastark-vs-tidio) - [Aivastark vs Gorgias](https://www.aivastark.com/compare/aivastark-vs-gorgias) - [Aivastark vs Twig](https://www.aivastark.com/compare/aivastark-vs-twig) - [Aivastark vs WATI](https://www.aivastark.com/compare/aivastark-vs-wati) - [Aivastark vs Interakt](https://www.aivastark.com/compare/aivastark-vs-interakt) - [Aivastark vs AiSensy](https://www.aivastark.com/compare/aivastark-vs-aisensy) - [Pricing](https://www.aivastark.com/pricing) - [WhatsApp](https://www.aivastark.com/integrations/whatsapp) ## Pricing Aivastark has 6 public plans.
